This was the main reason the tzdt was condemed by previous owner for scrap, the rear out sill had gone along with the inner sill extending up into the axle mountings and also rusted thru the inner arch and along the chassis rail, it was quite a mess once i cut all the bad away, tbh that whole n/s rear quarter had suffered quite badly inc the boot floor/inner arch/hanger, boot channel, yet this car had more sealant than any other ive seen, maybe it the quality of the sealants used? The o/s is surviving quite well for now but will need work.
I used a wizzy wire wheel in a 4 inch grinder to get the sealant off also good for cleaning the metal up and finding just how far the rust has gone.
