Yeah, daily drive. If there was ever a car that was treasured, Daisy was such a car.

Re: Daisy
I'm very new to this forum, but have treasured and cared for a lot of cars in my time, never had one written off in quite this manner though, very unpleasant. I hope the fix or recompense is worthy and that you're both still fine after the accident. Somewhere out there i hope there will be a BX worthy of the moniker 'Daisy - Mk2'

Re: Daisy
If you have legal cover then hopefully the insurance will sort it ASAP. As the taxi accepted full liability and daisy has been inspected and confirmed as a total loss it shouldn't take too long! Maybe that TGD on c&c would be an ideal replacement... bluebell?
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....
Re: Daisy
Oh dear! Only just caught up with the news... Very sorry to read about this but pleased to know you are okay, Ann-Marie. Choosing your next one will be painful, I think.

Re: Daisy
Thanks Des
In the early days of our 15 year partnership, her use was functional - carting kids and their paraphernalia around.
Since joining BXC and CCC, the emphasis, apart from pure driving pleasure, has been more social. Through the BXagon (part of), the Scottish Challenge and all the events and rallies we have attended, I have met some lovely people and made some good friends.
Replacing her will depend on what becomes available.

Saloon, manual, diesel, lowish miles, any colour, trim or spec.
Preferably one that won't need inner wings, B Pillars, sills or boot floor (or any other bits) welding for a few years.

Re: Daisy
Regrettable, but probably inevitable after seeing the photos. Great shame, the front alone would have been OK to repair but the way the rear end crumple zone has indeed 'crumpled' makes the poor girl too twisted.
At least you may be able to salvage what are doubtless quite a lot of new or recent parts off her for the next one. Even the No Plate was rather nice, especially for a female owner. Bordeaux white is a good colour too.
Hope you can locate a good'un soon.
