I just can't get over the Romantic Blue affair! When I bought the GT back in 2006, I thought "Bloody hell, that's a rare colour! Never seen that before!"

Since that moment, literally every single mk1 BX ever made automatically turned Romantic Blue, right there and then!

These are some of the colours i can find for MK 1 BXs:

AC658 Bleu Argente
ECD Beige Sphinx Effect
EDB Beige Colorado
EDH Beige Sloughi Effect
EDY Beige Impala
EFK Brun Scarabee Effect
EKA Rouge Delage
EMK Blue Azul
ENC Bleu Lagune
ENX Bleu Carmargue
EPT Bleu Romantique
ERD Vert Tuileries
EVB Gris Renard
EVF Gris Neptune
EWB Blanc Corfu
And possibly EUP Gris Cormoran and EKB Rouge Vallelunga.

Why the majority found to have survived in this country was Romantic Blue as Rich points out is anybodies guess.

Looks like I'll get my set of checkered Leader seats after all - a lad from Holland contacted me himself offering one for sale after reading my post. Good times. And since you fellas brought up the other subject - I'll be respraying mine at some stage and actually I was thinking of Blue carmague (I reckon it is the one), like at pic of BX on Italian wikipedia. Geat color.

Well I've got a red one now, and I had a sort of burgandy TRS years ago, and a Fox Grey RS. But Romantic Blue seems to be the colour they've all survived in.

It is a nice colour though, i'd love that metalic light green colour, but without the hideous brown interior though, yuk!!

Ah no, any interior other than gray would be a bonus :D . I had a scimitar back while ago, brown both outside and inside - the essence of the 70's!

Sophie has a lovely brown interior. Suits her perfectly.

Been out in her tonight, first time in a couple of weeks and actually for a MK 1. she is a better drive than my TGS.

Sorry bud, dont know, maybe Tim would know. Bloody lucky to find set of seats, however i would cover them up with a set of seat covers or the problem will happen again very quickly.

Ah! but do you remember the more 'solid' blue (non metallic) colour? The one only used on MK1s' with I think a grey interior and they were for some reason worth 25% less than any other colour second hand! You could not give them away, yet they were not the worst BX colour at all, the British Leyland style Ivoire and brown crowned that (sorry Andy!) in my book. The only thing that could have made it worse would have been some artificial wood... like even the Rover 45s' etc have! Test driving a 45 in 2004 was like a time warp to pre 89 when I got my first BX...

I haven't seen one of those blue ones for a very long time, whereas to be fair there has been an Ivoire one round here until very recently.

Not THAT many, mostly, grey, blue, black, brown and beige, but the shades did alter over the years.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

That was a sort of pastel blue. Was only used on billy-basic models IIRC. There was a 14E for sale last year which was that shade if I remember right.
