Yes this BX has to be a keeper... I've put more money, parts and thought into getting this sorted than any other BX I've ever owned... even including my 16v a few years back. I change my cars far less frequently than I used to and as you say rarity s a big factor now.

Andy, I plan to source a single, fifth alloy as a spare but won't refurbish it.

Phil,
a steel wheel with 4 normal wheel bolts will be a damned sight cheaper and still work fine. Why have an alloy wheel stuck up the back of your BX, corroding with all the salt and shite from the road when a real cheapie will do which you may never use? Never used mine. I may have a proper alloy steelie anyway. I would save your dosh for more important things.

You're right Andy. I was temporarily in Rover 75 territory where my nice fifth alloy resides in a cushioned compartment - even has its own light and strutted cover - under the boot floor lol! Ha!

If you're running on Speedlines but have a steely as a spare, carry a set of steely studs as the Speedline bolts will be useless in the event of a flat. I always do; which is a surprise to be honest cus' I'm usually crap at that sort of thing. 8)

Dont worry about it at all Paul, senior moments happen as we get older. The more the older we get.
