It is! This trip will probably mean an overnight ferry from Caen to Portsmouth, then driving up to Stansted, flying to Spain and getting there mid evening for a tech presentation, up at sparrowfart the next day for a few hours riding the bike, then back to the airport, and if I'm lucky getting back in time to drive back to Portsmouth for another overnight boat. Otherwise airport hotel and the tedium of a long crossing in daytime.
But hey ho, it's better than working for a living... ;0)

BMW does have a very good model line-up at the moment. I spent quite a while on the BMW stand at the NEC and I was very impressed. The staff on the stand were highly enthusiastic about the brand, a complete contrast to Honda, which it pains me to say. They had a R1200RS on the stand, but I was too busy trying out the GS Adventure for size, as well as collecting autographs off Charley Boorman and Simon Pavey, both top blokes who seemed very down to earth.

Pavey is indeed a top bloke - I've known him since his first Dakar in the late eighties, when I was working for Bike and we sponsored him. Raced against him once too. Well, lined up on the same start line for an enduro and only saw him again when he lapped me. Twice.
I've ridden with Boorman a couple of times on launches - as you say, seems like a nice guy. Good rider, too.
