Mixed feelings about the northern rally, always good to catch up with everyone and delighted to win a prize for the GT, however there didn't seem to be the same buzz and the numbers of ccc guys was quite down, and the 2cv crew are very much a different breed and didn't seem to mingle... Most of which went home Sunday before the concours judging started.

Takes longer to get anywhere in a 2CV compared to your GT!

Dyanes can do considerably more
Perhaps 2CVs are just worth too much these days to flog them everywhere you go! Gone are the days when they could be easily picked up for £25.00 and either stripped for spares or put back on the road cheaply.

I have to agree Tim I didn't get the welcome to the 2cv rally feeling, it was more oh the Citroen car club are here now I'm going home.
A bit disappointed in that respect, but the people that did turn up were great as usual.

Perhaps they felt it was getting gatecrashed, afterall they haven't needed the CCC in the past. I arrive late on Sunday, but most seemed to have left, infact i spotted one (2cv) heading South as i was heading upto Ripon.

This copping off early is endemic in the Microcars, despite that most travel on trailers. It seems to be a thing that goes in hand with perceived value and over restoration. I never understood it, but it is annoying if you bother to travel some distance for a weekends fun. Such are its effect on microcars, it has seen a collapse in numbers attending most events. Bad gen city
Need to avoid that by attempting to up the quality and activity of events so folk are busy and not being tempted to go home. The Micronauts tell me I am wrong. I would be more convinced by the suggestion its not possible with the number of volunteers.
