Postcombe is fine, ( 5 mins from me) & Little Horwood has a pub too of course.

Do we need camping facilities or just a field and near by pub?

I'm in the process of trying to secure Little Horwood as its a very good venue and familiarity with it will help us with the 'relaunch'... Watch this space ;)

Need the support of the CCC and although we are pencilled in for the second weekend of Sept. (12/13) we need to secure it for sure with a deposit and payment. Now theChallenge is out of the way I can start to get organised...

It's getting more sorted day by day, so please show your support and come along. There'll be quite a few things to get involved with - apart from the usual chat and technical stuff. If you have any parts/spares etc. you'd like to sell; bring them along: there'll be a 'trading' section designated. Camp by all means: there's food and a wine-tasting on the Saturday night (if the wine merchants don't turn up it'll be wine, beer and cider tasting over a protracted period)... as well as a Quiz Night and some music, film and stuff.

Kids are catered for with activities and a colouring competition etc.

If you want to bring more than one car let me know. And if you want to volunteer to marshall/maintain the event let me know too...

See you there :)

There is a small amount of money left over from NEC fundraising which I propose we use for the Malcolm Goldberger trophy. I rather like this one, thoughts?

What's the Malcolm trophy going to be for then? He, like myself, wasn't one for cosmetic fettling. He actually liked to get his mits dirty. Surely it should be awarded to the car in the best spirit of the show, rather than the shiniest. Unless that was the plan all along, in which case ignore me!

My understanding was as you say: an honest, loved - and used - example that best reflects Malcolm's passion to keep a Citroen on the road and help others to do likewise. Certainly not an award for the shiniest car :)

I think the general idea was that it should be a People's Choice to have people thinking about Malcolm. Not my idea; I didn't know Malcolm that well, I just got on Google to follow up the trophy suggestion :)
