Sorry to repeat myself, but can everyone who is planning to turn up on Friday, kindly NOT turn up before 5:30pm as there is another event finishing that afternoon. Thanks!
Oh, and the Fish and Chips don't arrive until 7:15pm anyway ;)

Trophy (if I got the linky bit right)

Edit: Clearly not. Just copy/paste it, will sort it out when not on stupid phone.

Edit again: Ah, NO quotes. Stupid BBcode and stupid preview.

For those still on FB, feel free to share :)

Cracking weekend, great turnout, good weather and a real positive buzz.

A big thanks to everyone who mucked in and attended.

It will return next year for sure.

^ indeed. *knackered* after spending most of the weekend in the kitchen, slightly less than Selina tho' - she and Darren were amazing. Phil brought it all together, and Paul, Tim and Leo somehow managed to be on the gate and out there making sure everyone had a good time all at once. Great team, fabulous event, AGAIN for sure.

We can put on more to do if the folks we bring in can be assured of "footfall". Lucy from local Citroen dealer was lovely (giving her time for free I understand) and will hopefully bring next year's latest Shiny Thing for everyone to look at and perhaps drive a lap of the field. The weather was so good that the TV and Scalectrix just gathered dust, and we have plenty of colouring sheets left over. One lady even asked if she was allowed to be in the hall, it was so deserted with everyone enjoying the sun.

IDEAS for next year please - bearing in mind we're still small and not full of millionaires ;p

Thanks to everyone who came and hope we restored the faith a little - onwards and upwards :)

Good weather, sunshine even. I was family functioning some 30 miles away, but noted that given support the event should have a great report. If you cannot have the NEC then here was an alternative for those who organize things into being. Well done.
Come 1 AM Monday morning it has been bunging it down in heavy showers since. Phew, who ordered that window of opportunity?

The BXC ladies worked like troopers in the kitchen....a great effort.

Next year I don't think we need to change much, seems people prefer spending most of the time outside in the sunshine talking Citroens (myself included hence the sunburn!), the BBQ and Quiz was a great success.

I have to thank everyone who turned up and especially thanks a million to my fellower organisers and those who were handed the glowing orange 'Vests of Power' lol

I am tired to say the least and have a mountain of work on my desk but will endeavour to post some pics up later...

I think the turn out was a shade over 100 cars by the way!

I haven't got much more to add to all that really - probably one of the best shows I've ever attended. ^^ ^^

Yes, thanks everyone for that, it was my first time having only bought my BX in april this year. I don't think I've seen so many BXs gathered in one place for many a year. I drove up (or should that be across) from Suffolk in my tatty but solid grey TZD Turbo and did 280 miles round trip. It was a very friendly atmosphere and a good selection of cars. Without the participants and especially the organisers these events don't happen so I take my hat off to you all. It was a shame I couldn't stay longer than just the saturday.

I didn't see any Dyanes so maybe next year I'll come in mine although 280 miles is a bit more of an ordeal in that.

Thank you once again.

John

I'm glad it was a successful inaugural Chevrons Rally. Here's to many more in the years to come. Sorry I couldn't attend, but hey ho, life goes on. :)

Thanks Sandre, I'll put it in my diary. They way things are going, the Chevrons Rally 2016 will be the last bastion of civilisation.
