Depends where you are Alan, you need to find a trusted specialist and be prepared to travel, I take my cars to either Bourne or Hitchin, both of which are 90 mins away from me but its worth it.

Main Cit Dealers now have limited knowledge of the BX as so much time has passed since cessation (20+ years).
You would be much better served by an independent who was trained in that era and carries the expertise forward.

I'm not even sure a modern Citroen main dealer would know what a BX was still less how to actually repair one?
