I think Kitch will find that it's likely to be the ex BXC Member that he has been sparring with on the "Quiet Forum" thread with the new handle of GloryBX. If you think for a moment about that new handle, it is likely to click who he was/is.

I haven't sparred with anyone on that thread though. I've no idea of who 'glorybx' is, just assumed it was a new member. For someone to leave as one name, then return as another incognito....well, that would be a touch on the tragic side IMO. I've given them more credit than that (you might want to apologise to them for bringing them into it  )
I actually supported glorybx's idea that more people should use the FB group - I'm an admin on it, so naturally I want it to do well :)

If someone I've never met has suddenly got it in for me and wants to spread lies and rumours akin to those you'd find in a school playground, then fine. It must be a pretty empty life they lead (and I'm not saying this glorybx character is the guilty party, just making a point about someone I don't know being the childish loser in all of this)

The reason why I've done what I HATE people doing (airing dirty laundry in public) is because it irks me that somebody I may well be friendly with face to face, offer to give away parts to, offer advice or lend an ear to in times of hardship could also be someone who's two-faced, and is effectively shit-stirring. I thought I left all this behind in 1999 when I finished school

So to recap (because I feel I need to justify the need for all this):

* I make jokey comment saying Darren should get his arse in here. I wanted him to join, be a part of it and share his work on his cars, as I have lots of respect for people that restore these cars themselves and don't just open a chequebook making no effort whatsoever. The forum would have benefitted from him.

* I then receive a condescending ranty message from Darren, half of it in capitals, accusing me of making 'comments' about him on the forum. He also makes light of the fact that it had been pointed out to him by somebody else. Somebody else has actually taken time out of their (I'm assuming) exceptionally empty life to lead him astray and make out that I'm being an arsehole about him, knowing Darren wouldn't have spotted it as he doesn't use the forum.

* I flip out, because as I said before, this could be someone I speak to face to face and act friendly with. It could be someone I've offered free help to (offered free help to Darren in the past too, but hey). It could be someone I speak highly of a person, or somebody I've known for years (I've been in the BX online community for about 12 years now).

Basically, I'm never going to find out who it is.

But know this: One day, I'll probably see you again/meet you for the first time. We might be all friendly, because I'll have no idea you were the motor behind the cog. I'll carry on chatting and be completely oblivious to your presence. I'll probably help you in some way, one day. But there is one thing you can be rest-assured of, and that is that while we're talking you will know deep down that I think whoever it was is a spineless, mouth-breathing, oxygen-wasting fucktard of the highest order.

We can draw a line under it now, I don't need to say any more :)

Sorry to everybody else. Treat as a bit of drama to make the forum a bit more interesting. Everyone loves gossip

I hope darren does join, I've found to be a very nice chap, a BX nutter and very knowledgable.

Life's too short and we can always use more active members.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....
