Why dont you get a quote from Shipleys on transport costs they can do surprisingly good deals and you wont have to worry about the c/c either.

Seconded, put your details in and wait for the quotes to come flooding in, they get cheaper and cheaper until you accept one: Any couriers quoting will already be registered with TFL so you won't need to pay the congestion charge on top of the quote I wouldn't think.

Also here, I had a BX Estate shipped from London to Manchester for £165 and the driver said he would do it cheaper directly :

well i now have the BX here! :D

sure enough the cam is smashed to hell. i now have to decide on what way i want to repair it. be it an engine (with all belts and water pump) replace or a cylinder head replace with all belts and water pump replaced.

i was sad to find it did not have a sun roof.... but... super happy to find that it had air conditioning. wonder if its the old R12 refrigerant.
it needs a clean.. and has very slight bubbling rust in the rear pass side door.. but i think i got it just in time!

sadly my phone died so i am having to use the old camera. pictures soon.. hmm maybe i should start a thread in the gallery...

Welcome to the world of BX ownership my friend! You're probably better off without a sunroof, more to leak and rust from the inside - aircon though eh, fancy pants. Hope all goes well getting it going, maybe one day both our cars might actually be working (touch wood!)...

No estates are fitted with a sunroof due to the shape of the roof, unless they are aftermarket ones. better off without it potentially less rust issues.
I have a spare complete cylinder head for a t/d with camshaft not the high mileage one off the breaker, this one has about 140k's on it and came from a running engine with no issues, i was going to keep this as a spare but its been here for 5 years now so if you want it pm me for a price.

Wow a turbo diesel estate with no obvious rust and aircon... sounds like a keeper.. both my TD estates have rot around the rear quarters - it's really common... and I've had some repaired on the inner wings and one rear subframe mount..

Worth taking the front wings off too as there's likely to be a little or the start of inner wing rot - hard to see this normally..
