My words have been eaten and apologies to anyone I offended - including the seller if you're there!

But does that mean it will now sell? Personally, I doubt it. Or, of it does sell, it'll be a 1-bid sale.

No doubting it's a nice car, but since it's not a TZD I'm not sure it can rouse interest at £500

After all, you can get a 1994-5 Xantia TD for £500.... and they're much better cars... aren't they....

erm, NO!

I've been working on my bosses barge of late, similar handling characteristics and the barge is on the driveway outside his house! (should have seen the crane that delivered it!)

erm, NO!
I was being sarcastic!

as many bidders will take that attitude, that they can get a much newer car for the same money, hence this may well be an excelent car, but will never be worth £500.

I agree a lot of people get used car syndrome and think because it`s old it`s worthless but at the same time I think we must have loads of potential new members out there because BX`s, especially TZD`s, are still getting good money and we know that car probably was worth it as it looked ok and had full MOT.
Think what a smilar aged Fraud Escort or even one of my favourite cars the Vauxhall Astra in diesel format the smae age would have got-not even close I reckon.
Maybe it`s because people like me who used to be scared to death of diesels realise these old Citroen models are nowehere near as daunting or expensive to repair as the Isuzu or GM 1.7 TD engines and are probably still cheaper/easier than the asthmatic 1.8 Ford motors too.
Plus, of course, there`s the charm and charisma of a modern classic like the BX.
Vauxhall apologist.
