Citroën BX – XPO – A-pillar Painting. Again! – Eps28
Despite Episode 27's distraction, I really need to push on with the A-pillar painting, again.
How well will it come out this time?

The next task on the XPO project is windscreen surround repair.
While it is now looking epic, the offside A-pillar wasn't the only rot at the front of the BX.

Well, a lot of time has passed since I last updated the #CitroenBX XPO build progress, but work continues.
Before work continues on the engine bay, I need to tackle the steering rack boots. And they are just the start of the problems!

With so many corroded metal parts on XPO, I took a dive into DIY cleaning and plating.
Oh, how I wish I had just let grown-ups do it!

With the windscreen surround repaired and new glass in, the focus moves to the scuttle. Refitting the blower, washer bottles and a small welding repair.

Citroën BX – XPO – Electrics Pt1 – Eps33
While the A-pillar rebuild on the XPO project seemed like a big challenge, restoring the electrics has proven far more taxing.

Citroën BX – XPO – Interior Installation – Eps34
The start of 2024 brings a new article on the XPO restoration. Whoop. Anyone on here still watching?
With the interior electrics repaired and reinstalled, I could finally move onto the interior installation. Well most of it.

I look forward to having a good read through this Vanny, when I get around to the a/c install and dash out etc in my GT I'll at least have some inkling of what it all should look like! It'll be interesting to see the differences between MK1 and 2 aswell.

Citroën BX – XPO – Electrics Pt2 – Eps35
Thanks for the reminder Panky!
Moving out of XPO's interior and starting to prepare the engine bay for the arrival of the engine, starting with the electrics. This article looks at the engine bay wiring, which is just as bad as the interior!

A brief bitsa article featuring bitsa hubs, brakes and bearings. All seamlessly stitched together to tell a tale of woe and foreboding.

Citroën BX – XPO – Engine Bay Preparation – Eps37a
It won't be long before the engine goes back in, so engine bay preparation of areas that won't soon be accessible seems sensible.
