BX 1.6 TGS Athena rad.

The range of radiators fitted to BX was/is lengthy.
Cit parts lump all these together (even for your VIN there is more than one listed), but my best find was
95 495 038 22dm² LAR600
for 1580cc with A/C (which yours is listed as having; it is also listed as a Millesime).

On Mister Auto, 95495038 throws up these two as replacements:
Nissens 61660, listed as 600mm
NRF 58683, listed as 600x378x34mm
Both, unfortunately showing Out of Stock on MA UK, although MA.es show 3 NRFs available.

If you need more help, can you post a photo of your existing rad (particularly to show the top of it and filler) and check dimensions of it?

Are you sure the "single air conditioning" means air conditioning? As originally french, there's a quite a lot of wrong translations, for example that could mean one fan, instead of two used in air-conditioned models? I have never had a BX with original air condition, all mine have been aftermarket.

The one I have is 440x600x32 with mounts at 650 centres, it's a bit battle scarred but no leaks when it was removed
Has side header tank
Could prob be adapted to fit if Yr stuck

You're kind-of right - translation is the key...

Have checked what ServiceBox lists for the two Citroens here. . .

XM 2.5TD (which has digital-panel climate control)
page in English: REFRIGERATION - AUTOMATIC REFRIGERATION
page in French: REFRIGERATION - REFRIGERATION AUTOMATIQUE

BX 19D (which has factory-fitted, non-automatic AC)
page in English: REFRIGERATION - SINGLE REFRIGERATION
page in French: REFRIGERATION - REFRIGERATION SIMPLE

So Simple gets translated as Single — not helpful.

Still unsure whether Pedigreed's Athena has AC or not.
Documentation says it originally had it. Could be an error?

Looks like the same rad as fitted to 19D.
Either of those Mister Auto items would do. You could ring them and check stock/delivery situation. They might be able to pull stock around between warehouses.

It will be the same rad with or without A/C. There is plenty of choice available to you.

Many thanks all, I’ve located the correct one(I think) in Denmark so it will take a week or two but should fit perfectly when it arrives. 'KMS parts online say it’s not the listed one for my BX but it matches the measurements on mine so fingers crossed.
