Haynes manual or Haynes workshop manual??

Post by Pcheaven »

Confused.

What’s the difference ?

Which is the best suited for a DIY repairer?

I plan to change cam belt and water pump and a few other jobs.
Oh for use on a 91 meteor
TIA.
BX Meteor. Sub 20000 miles. Very Original.

ToDo list.

1. Get cam bet etc replaced etc
Have a GnT
2. Get the radio to work.
Have a GnT
3. Adjust the clutch
Have a GnT
4. Clean LHM tank then a complete flush
Have a GnT
5. Wash, clay bar then ceramic coat paintwork.
Have a GnT

They are one of the same - titled Owners Workshop Manual on the cover
Two editions for BX petrol, the original (#908, 1983-91) and a later revised edition. Covers engines, mechanicals, electrics, bodywork...
There's a separate one (#1379, 1984-1990) for the Citroen Diesel Engine(s) fitted to the cars.

These are good on the BX, as they date back to when Haynes actually did something approaching a complete strip-down, and so cover almost all parts. Only for a few (eg A/C) does it sidestep repair detail.
