Big pipe, little pipe - all in a day's work! Hope the pub lunch goes well.
Surprising how durable the hydraulic lines are, unless they happen to be kept wrapped in muddy dampness (eg in subframe gaps).
I'd entirely forgotten just how basic a diesel exhaust system was on the BX - no front end box at all. Diesel exhausts tend not to rust, and so they can get forgotten about. Do find the 19D exhaust a tad "chuffy" at the back at idle . . . am used to dead silence on the XM.
A turbo quietens exhaust enormously, by smoothing out the shock-waves. Have driven our RAV4 D4D with nothing except 0.5m of downpipe attached: surprisingly quiet, except at full throttle.
Did wonder about fitting a front-end box to the 19D, to quieten things down a bit. Good idea? Any other options?
