Can you find a place that can fill the system with R-437A (=Isceon 49)? No need to change anything.
BX 4x4 estate, several BX Van's and some more normal estates in Finland.

It claims to be a drop-in replacement for R-12, and compatible with mineral oil and 'other' compressor oils.
It's 60% R-134a, according to the MSDS sheet.

I need to be able to have the BX's system regassed (and evacuated) by any of the main workshops here, all of which major on R134a, so that seems the best way to go.
