Hi all ....I know the older members of this forum will be nodding their heads at this but for the benefit of any newbies ........
I've just had my '92 BXTZD in the local "independant" Citroen Specialists garage for some new spheres ......not knowing much about the mystical, weird, wacky world of Citroen hydraulics I thought I'd pay some-one else to do the job.
He charged me £100 all in,which,IMHO considering that they [spheres] are £18 each in the latest copy of the GSF catalogue I have to hand is a bargain .....quite frankly £20 aint worth getting me hands dirty for....although it only took him 10/15 minutes to do the job.
The difference it has made to my car is unbelievable ......it's only now that I realise how good the ride is in a BX
If .......like me, you are running your first ever "Hydraulic Cit" and you are'nt amazed by the softness of the ride then I'd suggest you consider having 'em done.
Regards ................Terry

Dont let the 2CV fool you,I'm not a hippy,I like violence
From what you say there is an undoubted difference between the ride of the various models because I would not describe the ride on the GTi as soft as it is quite firm and stable. When the spheres are shot the ride can be descibed as bumpy with visibly bouncing headlight beams.

I agree, there's something rewarding about that especially on 195 profile P6000's! but for sub-30mph pot-holed surfaces around town it does get a little irksome, as the GTi can be a bit jiggly and bangy. If you know what I mean..
