Hi all, Just to answer a few questions, Chris's standard of workmanship is of the type that saves time, do it once - do it well - do it so it dosnt have to be done again, ever. He has tackled some things that 'everyone' has said were simply not possible to do. and oh yes they were.
Like a certain repair to a bus transmission that according to the manufacturer/bus builder could not possibly be done in situe --------- yes it could.
Note the remark that if I didnt think it was good enough he would rip it off and start again. If its good enough for you mate then that is fine, I have total and complete utter faith in your ability. If you say you will and can do something, you will.
You have done many things for me with out regard to how much it would cost you, you are my son. In the unlikely ( very very very unlikely ) event of cocking something up you know me , I would let you know.
Without your help and support that car would have died. THANK YOU.

Dad.

No worries mate. Hope you like the finished product!

Ah yes, the bus transmission.... that was fun.... NOT!

I kinda like proving people wrong, it's the massive ego I think! :D
Whenever someone says "it cant be done" I'll think of a way it can..
Although mo-one said the BX couldn't be done.....
Ok, economically it wasn't worth it, but since it's a one-off whats it really worth?
Should be a minter when it's done, better than mine he he!! :D

Cheers

Thanks Jon, I feel the head enlarging as I type!
I'm sure your BX aint that bad dude. I've got one dead one and an increasingly scruffy valver.......

Of course if you want the Break rebuilt I'll be bored again in a couple of weeks......

Love the Emoticon!!!
I should send that to the manager at work... very apt!!!! :D

Cheers

Gold mate! Absolute Gold!
redx
Love it!

I guess if we didn't have Cit's to tinker with, well, what the hell would we do??
I reckon I'd drink even more, I cant smoke anymore than I do already unless I start lighting up two at once! (Ok, actually, I have before now....)
That leaves us with dribbling or killing people. Or gardening!

I'll stick with the Cit's... :D

Cheers

Dont worry about hijacking the thread Jonkw, just worry about the bill for drycleaning and being sued for injury. Having just p*ss*d myself and fallen off the chair in hysterics. Absolutely brilliant. Love the "drunk" one, the expressions say it all.
Cheers.

That car looks great......but even better than that its been done properly. Its the sort of car you would never get rid of and is a true classic. Well done! I've been keenly following progress for the whole of the build, only one problem now; like you say what are you gonna do now its finished?

Sterling work, It just goes to show what can be achieved with a lot of dedication, hard work and hopefully the promise of a lot of beer, now for the TD :D Are you going to continue with the 2.1 fuel pump setup (Intrigued)
