Tim, i'm not chucking the one you gave me i'm just swapping them over as i have a cd player in the other car. If i was getting rid, then of course you could have it back, but i'm not, so sorry.

I assume that they will work on the TZD, i just need to replace the speedo one only as rev counter & rest of instruments in the binnacle work ok. PM me if you have one, for costs etc..

Cheers

You can take the speedo to bit mate and free of the trip meter.

A GTi speedo will be wildly inaccurate in a TD. The gearing is higher in the TD so a GTi clock would read low....

I still want them mate!

Just being lazy. Any idea how much they'd cost to post?

I reckon postage will be about £8.00 Ian. Iirc Mulley isn`t too far from you, if I send the whole lot could you two meet up and take what you want for them?
Mulley, somewhere about I`m pretty sure I have some standard TGD (i.e non turbo) clocks, if you or anyone else knows if the speedo will suit your TZD please let me know.
Ian, if you pm me your address and postcode I`ll send the clocks out to you mate, most likely Saturday morning if that`s o.k?

Between Ellesmere Port and Chester mate, there`s one corner which is usually covered in gravel and when you hit it just right you can slide it perfectly around the bend.
Get it wrong (i.e with a Cortina automatic in the frost) and it`s a trouser-browningly experience

Tim, good suggestion but i want a working trip & this one is knackered so its going to have to be a replacment speedo (with working trip).

Cheers for the offer Cavmad, anyone know if the N/A speedo works correctly on the turbo model?

Fraid not mate. a N/A clock would read low. It would have to be a TD clock to be accurate. A N/A clock would be 10mph out unless you change the profile of the tyres.

Cheers
