Many thanks for that sympathic reply. I really do mean that a good home is far more important to us than a huge sum of money. There's an invitation!

Hey Philip what is wrong with Bx 16's ? I must say I would buy it (for a bit less than 600) ...but I already have a former lady, auto car....It just prefer the quiet comfy citroen than the noisy sporty one.
former BX 16 TGS Meteor Auto owner. No space or time to do own repairs. My BX is now owned by another member of this forum.

Theres not much wrong with BX16s in my view, the carbs can get tricky when they get old but there eaily fixed. Ive had a couple and enjoyed them.

Hm. Evil thoughts.

Is it MoT'd?

If it had a year's ticket, I'd offer whatever I get for the sale of the broken GS. From my point of view, it would mean a straight swap of broken car for working car and a year of getting around rather than just looking at it.

I really can't take the risk of buying it and then putting it through the MoT though, as I'd have no funds left for fixing it.

I'm hoping to get £400 for the G... is that interesting for you hevwil?

I really shouldn't be thinking like this...

No, seiously, I'm looking at a fair amount of work and expense (as I don't do very much DIY) on my lovely GTi and when you consider its mileage of 162k, you have to ask yourself is it worth it. I guess it is, but a 26k miler auto is a tempting alternative. I got the wife's permission  :D to enquire about this car, and if it is IK I'll make an offer. If it doesn't work out, go for it Stuart by all means! If I do end up with it I will have to sell my GTi...

If I had the money and garage space I would add to my collection (including Sally!) and not sell the GTi though...

Hey Stuart, what about the Rendezvous that BCXM's got up on eBay? That's local and seems it won't fetch anything like the 16TGS auto will be costing... and the seller, Leroy is a top bloke.

Just a thought...
