Fairly epic BX journey.
Furthest I've taken my TZD is from Reading to Sydney Australia Of course, the wet part of that trip it was parked in a 40 ft container along with my worldly goods and chattels! Outside of that, have driven it from Haslingden (Lancs, when I lived there) up to Scotland and back to London in a weekend, plus multiple trips all over the UK and the continent - around the top end of Holland, into Germany, most of France, etc. and never had a problem with it at all - other than having my o/s mirror knocked off while parked in a narrow Belgian street.
cheers,

The last TZD conveyed myself and my best friend overnight and non-stop from Southampton to Montpellier without putting a foot wrong. We left Southampton at 5pm, arrived in Boulogne at 12:30am, and then chugged on through the night on empty French motorways, changing drivers every 2 hours or so, and arriving in Montpellier at 12 noon the following day.
The new TZD will do the same trip this Summer, except this time it'll be during the day, with only myself on board, and with an overnight stop in Dijon halfway down. I can't wait!

The longest recorded single Journey in my BX19GT was 50,000 miles took me just under 2 minutes to do that trip up a hill in South West England.
Guess should put this under Speedo errors or some mysterious sub space anomaly Alien Abduction during the middle of the day
Dont kow exactly what happened but basically my speedo clocked over 115,000 miles then procedeed to clock over 10,000 miles blocks. Starngest thing it stopped at 165,000?
Never found out why but my local mechanic found me a new second hand one.

Longest we ever did was 1045 miles in about 21 hours - coming back from a camping holiday in Sete in the South of France - and deciding we were likely to miss the Portsmouth ferry and driving via Calais and Dover. Nice when we left but the rain was so bad at one point I remember us slowing and stopping in a parkingplace while it cleared!
Wife drove home from Dover - until she woke me for directions - in Reigate of all places - we should have been on the M25! - She was blonde then.

I hope your missus doesn't read this Jeremy? If she does, keep an eye over your shoulder and have your tea checked for polonium 210......

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Southampton to Arrochar in one day with my boat on top of the 2CV. There is a picture somewhere. The trip cost me a relationship and cured me of
A: vegetarianism.
B: Scotland.
C: Camping holidays.
These days, the standard run is Southampton to Carelles, a mere 500 miles via Boulogne. Being a lightweight, we're going to Paris from Home on the TGV!
