Thanks mate, Wil see how we get on tomorrow, theyy are fitting it in around other work and are normally very fair on the prices they charge considering its £75+VAT a hour retail, I get it at £30.

Friday the 13th is most certainly is. 2 bits of bad news today, one which makes the rotten bx seem unimportant but here it is anyway!

This is what we found when the rear of the car was stripped out.

Drivers side rear innerwheelarch!

Plus the boot floors rotten on both corners!

16v is going to be stored for a while until I can afford to get that lot fixed, oh and there more at the front end too!

Looks that way dont it, we think its down to the fact that I had a 6 disc changer fitted by halfords with a head unit (special offer thing) in 1999, teh drilled four holes to bolt it on, which then rusted, let water in which collected in the corner of the boot floor and rusted it out.

Sleepy you still want to tackle it!

None of that is beyond repair, it's all the usual BX rot spots really. Decent afternoon with a MiG, sorted. It's all easy construction, nice flat bits of tin.

You want to start dipping your polishing cloth in waxoyl Tim!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Like the Doc say, its nothing that serious. It isnt that uncommon either. Most of the BX's i've had have either been badly rusted in this area or showing signs of starting to go.

Have you had a look at the area where the 2nd fuel tank strap hooks on behind the rear wheel? Check this area out on both sides, they're often rotten there too.
