is there suppose to be a flexible rubber seal on a deflector or is the seal a black rigid plastic??
am looking at one now and it looks to me as the seal has hardened over time..

sun roof deflector
I've got a blue tinted sunroof deflector and would prefer a grey one. Swop or buy.

Charlie,
Somewhere, I have a contact who can supply the rubber seal and I think the clips too...although I made mine up so I can make some for you too.
There is an alternative to the black rubber seal and that is some 6mm tubing with a slit down its length. I've done on my TD and although I'll eventually but the proper one, it's only a couple of quid and does the job ok...

SUN ROOF DEFLECTOR
Thanks Stuart. In keeping with everybody else, here are the BXs I've got:
BX GTi 4x4 1990
BX GTi 16v 1989/90
BX 17 TZD 1991
All in reasonable condition, except for scrappy foglights, and the 4x4 hot/cold heater control is jammed and the sunroof solenoid doesn't work.
Plus a 1984 GS Special break (estate). Not in the best of health.

@ Brian - welcome to the forum. I really would go back and edit your message to remove your phone number. Just click the "edit" button in the top left hand corner of the message.
@ Bandit - how did you make your clips? What are the dimensions? I have the deflector, seal, bolts nuts and lack the clips. I'd be really grateful for a pointer.

I'm about to swap them over onto the 16V (if she passes the MOT this week!!) I have made them out of 1mm galvanised plate (not as nice looking as proper black clips but they do the job) I'd make you a set ...but... it depends on how deep the deflector is where it bolts on. Am a bit busy till next week but I'll sort something out..
