As DC demonstrated, it's actually fairly easy to write sex, or viagra, or any other word that's in the word filter. You just have to know how to write them.

I think the word filters are rather amusing. They're all on words that will not usually come up in conversation, and if they are posted, are some of the most likely to be posted by spammers.
plus, I think we all know what all the word filters are now. Unless there are more to be found??
Getting back to the tools debate:
I recently started a new job which will at some point involve me buying my own professional-type tool kit. For the time being, I'm borrowing stuff from other people as needs be. There's Snap-on, Facom, Britool, K&M, Draper, etc.etc. To be honest, the Snap-on stuff is nothing special. Sure, it's good quality, and the spanners are comfortable to use, but the same can now be said of many other manufacturers.
30 years ago, Snap-on was the undesputed king of tools. Their prices were astronomically high, but you were buying the best. Plus, they were the only company to guarantee their tools for life. These days other manufacturers have improved so much that they are almost as good as, if not as good as snap-on, and they're nowhere near as expensive.
I recently priced up a Snap-on 3/4" drive socket set. Well over two bloody grand! Same thing from Britool is about £600, and having compared the two, I'm inclined to think that the Britool stuff is nicer to use.
It's all down to personal choice in the end. Personally, I'd rather buy more excelent-but-less-well-known tools than fewer well-known-brand tools. After all, the only tools I've ever actually broken have either been terrible quality ones, or where I've abused tools (like 8' of scaffold on a 3/8" drive ratchet.... what was I thinking!)

Didn't know Halfords Pro did a range of hammerscavmad wrote:Agreed David and that's why I like the Halfords Pro range. They're extremely well made, nice to use, feel right, well priced and guaranteed for life. On top of that they're also easy to buy at any Halfords and with my discount card they're even better value for money!
