Re: the various opinions on small cars.
Amazing how our opinions vary! I would put the Corsa as being the worst car I have ever driven, bar none. Borrowed one from a mate once and hated it. He hated it too, he'd inherited it from his mum. Dreadful ride and handling, and totally gutless.
I had a job once with a couple of company Puntos; really liked them to drive but the electrics were a bit unreliable and they were both 1 litre diesels - the slowest cars I have ever driven.
That same company had a a Clio too which I hated but I think that's because this particular example was completely knackered. Had an awful vibration through the steering that started at about 90kph and just got worse and worse.

You notice the passive rear wheel steering if you go straight from a different car! They do handle really really well.OwenS wrote:Its been suceeded by '93 ZX 1.4i five door in met ice blue, looks and drives like a new car, can't believe how well they handle!!!
Find a wet roundabout, push it a little hard into it then lift off suddenly having adjusted the steering quickly to counter your movement. They're very good at sideways action
