Hello Matthew, how're you doing? That's child number 4 that's about to arrive! We've now almost outgrown the BX, hence my desperate struggle to get our '88 7-seater Renault 21 Nevada through it's TÜV/MoT - it's not going well. The 'Renix' engine management/injection system makes the 16v's Motronic system look trouble-free.

I drove the 80kms down to near Zürich this morning with my son to meet up with Carl who used to be a member on here. We went on quite a few French scrapyard jaunts together a few years back when the 'yards were full of BXs ( not so now as last months hunt for R21s revealed).
Carl has got a BX turbo diesel Entreprise which was a France only tax break model with just two seats, for commercial purposes. This example has A/C and two leather seats and has travelled a mere 120k KMs. Its got head/head gasket problems but is not beyond saving though it's been sat for four years. The grass has literally grown under it and the wasps have set up home.

In the garage sits his 1989 16v which was the reason we went down there. It too has been sat since 2010. Carl's Mum wants her garage back as he left home a couple of years ago. So, despite having shifted my two 16vs three years ago, it looks as though I'll be taking this one on. We just wanted to see if it would start which obligingly it did. That certainly makes it easier to get onto a trailer.

I know this is a two year old topic, but... What colour is this yellow BX? It is amazing! Jaune Cedrat GDG or something else? My catalog only shows this single yellow paint code that was used only in 1984 (or maybe earlier, my liest starts from 1984).

All three colors are the same hue, but different saturation (whiteness) and value (blackness). I am not an expert so this is as close as I can get.
