RUBBER MATS
Well, you have to have some pleasures in life don't you? I've just blown a fair few quid on some tasty original white Manta alloys, an early (1981) Austin Metro (to save it from the crusher), another Corsa TD and some car cleaning stuff. I haven't even got a home for the alloys yet but will hope to rectify that sooner rather than later. Might put them on the Corsa for now though.

It was collected for me yesterday (long story) and is currently about 25 miles away I think until I can find somewhere permanent to keep it. I believe it needs welding 'at the front and an exhaust or part thereof'. Far to rare, and hopefully too good, to weigh in or scrap.
Might have a couple of pictures somewhere, will try and dig them out.

Thanks Doc, Tim. Future with me uncertain but I won't let it get scrapped or chav'd up.
Once the BX has gone I'll have some time and space, possibly even take it for an MOT to see what it wants before I consider starting to do something with it. Don't think the valances will be a problem and I'm hoping (should it need them) I can get new or decent front wings for it somewhere, pattern or genuine.
Can't be many of these early Metros left at all now.

Its a proper "boggo" no radio or headrests, never had a radio fitted by the looks of it so may have been owned by a old dear, I had a metro and blew it up more than once, ended up with a 1380 stage 3 engine in it with about 100bhp and my god it went well, then blew up again!, so I sold it and bought my 16TZS and that when the addiction started
Stupidly easy to work on though, so much so I fixed mine myself mostly.
