Well, you're both right!
I've seen silver finish badges and White badges.
My RD had white, my dads TGD had silver...

Luck of the draw?

Piece of, erm, cake to sort the badges out if you're careful. Mind you, you'd probably find some new ones popping up on eBay at some point. In fact there was quite a few as a job lot not that long ago, did anyone from here win them?

I was going to hand-paint the original badges with humbrol enamel.

I don't table top war game. Noooooooo.

We have tons of BX insignias - I just want to keep the original :D

The 5.5J 8V GTI alloys are narrower than the 6J BX16V alloys,
this allows you to fit 185 width which are better for a non power steering car.

You had best check with the insurance company before you fit the alloys or you could come unstuck in the event of a claim.

The meteor interior is very smart.

Anorak on, hood up:

BX16V also includes; ABS,front fog lamps,6 speaker radio, driver's seat lumbar support adjust, 80A alternator, different sphere pressures, V rated tyres......

That's pretty much what i was thinking tbh. I'd suggest spraying it black first then carefully applying silver Humbrol (or similar) to the lettering.

Oh dear.....
Right, well, yeah, you're right, fitting 185's MIGHT make the steering a little lighter, possibly, although frankly the difference is fairly negligable. And 5.5j alloys just look awful, you just gota have them wider rims!
Most insurance companies dont mind having alloys fitted, and dont penalise you for it, but indeed, it's a very good idea to tell them.

Plenty of non valvers had fog lights and ABS.
It's easy to stick a valver interior into any BX.
Is there a valver left on earth that still has the 6 speakers???
The alternator output doesn't really make any odds.
Tis easy to re-gas any sphere to 16v pressures, and again, how many valvers actually have valver spheres these days?
Tis easy to out fast tyres on any car.

Ooooh, does this make me anal too!???

The point I was making really was that it aint beyond the realms of possibility to make any BX 16V spec, since everything that makes the valver a valver is easy to change / add etc...

Indeed! Turns out his hydraulic pump lives on in Stinkwheel's St Tropez. He mail ordered it from Medway Citroen a year or so back.

Hopefully this darling little car is keeping other lovely BXs alive across the globe... Did I mention we ship worldwide? Hahaha!

I hate to say it, Medway Citroen aren't what they used to be in the way of parts. Remy THREW AWAY (Yes Rem, if you're reading this, I still haven't forgiven you) MULTIPLE BX parts including an 8ft high pile of interiors, NEW CX sills and other panels, NEW Visa GTi bodykit parts... and I believe he weighed in some CX metric wheels. I know they hadn't sold in more than a decade, but it was so sad!

Should have banged them on e-bay or posted them up on the various citroen forums, surely got to have been better than just chucking them away :(

He did post up that they were having a clear out a couple of months ago, and I bought some bits and pieces from him.

But did he actually post up what items they were, a listing that say's BX bits for sale means nothing to me & probably the vast majority of people, so not much was probably sold. If people can't be arsed to make specific listings to advertise the parts & have some piccies as well, then you don't make many sales tbh....
