This is awesome. I might bring the 16v up in a couple of weeks time if thats ok? Could do with some ramp space!

If you're serious, I'd be very up for that.

I have no doubt that they'll decide to write the car off - if I can squeeze enough money out of them for parts and rely on you guys' expertise then I'm sure we can get it sorted.

I am very good at supplying helpful comments (like, "yup, that's broken") and making tea.

Yes, I'm totally serious mate, if theres enough bod's on hand and facilities, lets make your car right again.

I haven't forgotten your valver either Tim, I'm still clearing the backlog of sh1te already in works, but I'm getting there!

No worries mate I bought a set of genuine front to back pipes of the bay of E for mucho cheapness!

btw....I haven't forgotten that tailgate mate! Just not got a running car right now! :shock:

The insurance assessor is going to go and visit my car today. I'll report back when I hear from then and we'll fix something up. Thanks!

I've no doubt they'll right the car off, but so long as it's just on economic grounds (which it will be) then if they try and take your car away I'll batter them.

I know you cant post piccies on here yet, but could you E-mail them to me so I have some idea of what needs "persauding" and what needs replacing.. I'll PM you my E-mail addy..

If you have the genuine pipes, and access to a ramp (ideally a 2-poster one) then changing the pipes is a 2-hour job as most. Really.
