Re: TIMS BX BLOG
Cars are fun, but nothing affects your quality of life like a home. Our last place was utterly dreadful. One of the most uninspiring places to live. Even having my first garage (a double albeit with a single door, but it had electricity) didn't make up for it.
Good luck with the move. It was so stressful for us last time that we've decided never to do it again!

I've been here 9 years and vowed that I would never move again after the stress of the previous 18 months, some of which were effectively homeless 'camping' at relatives - but whilst I *love* my house, Stevenage itself doesn't particularly feel like home and I am starting to itch about the lack of off-street parking ... so looks like I'll be seeking to up sticks in the next couple years, depending on what happens with the job situation. It was so stressful for us last time that we've decided never to do it again!
Unless you have unlimited funds there's usually going to be a trade-off between location, "facilities"/decor, etc. Sounds like you've found the best home possible for you Tim (despite the pink which is easily fixed, I'm a bit hopeless with spanners but wield a mean roller if you want a hand ). Congrats, and really hope the final arrangements and move go smoothly, next tech weekend chez toi avec house-warming?

I find moving exciting to be honest, as its just me and I dont have THAT much stuff I can do it in a day, theres some modernising to do in this new one and decorating (far too many bright colours for me) but all in good time. It will be good to be back in my home tome.

Spot on about the trade-off Sandre - that's why we live bloody miles from anywhere! What's incredible is how lucky we've been with the community in which we live. Was playing in my first live gig last night, with other acts that naturally included a lot of Welsh singing. Absolutely wonderful. Mind you, I only have a single garage, so you can't have everything.

Sounds fab Tim! Good facilities, space and location, all the good points ticked! Ian and Sandre - I also hate moving, it's such a stress but we shall be doing so in 2014 some time as we are 'looking after' our current pace for an uncle who lives far away and will retire here then.

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
Well its all systems go, moving day is the end of November, which means I will be in for Christmas, it would have been handy to get the keys before the NEC so I would have had 5 bedrooms to have access too but funds dont allow sadly.
A nice day out yesterday with Mr and Mrs triton green aka Sandre and Paul, which gave me a nudge to get the 19TZI cleaned up as it hasnt seen a bucket of water or hoover since the X Rally (as you imagine it was filthy.....) I do love that car, yes the fuel economy is pants and the front struts groan but its so pretty and is lovely to drive. Vive la BX!
Thanks to Paul for sorting my alloys, they look great!

. . . and here is the aforementioned fabulous weather and good company - although the weather did threaten to spoil itself later much to Tim's annoyance.Caffiend wrote: It was a lovely day out with fabulous weather and excellent company

Congratulations on finding a new abode. Like Sandre I am a dab hand with paint, although I am more of a brush wielder than a roller girl. I do a pretty mean hot air gun too if you need it!
