Lol no Tom!

I am warming to the idea if sticking a powerful engine in it. Wonder if a 2.0 XU turbo can be made to work?

Should do. IIRC it's the same block.

Could you bolt the XM 2.0 turbo head with it's own turbo, manifolds and sensors etc onto a BX 16/19 block? You'd have to play with the loom, ECU and exhaust but in the grand scheme of things that shouldn't be too bad for someone who knows their stuff.

I imagine the 2.0T block is strengthened etc to take the extra power. I just like the torque if a turbo over a high revving vvt etc as thats doesnt suit my style of driving.

Roll on Payday and I will tax the 16TRS, the leather seats are just a bit too tatty compared to the rest of the car so will be coming out for now until I can get them refurbed (anyone know a man in a little shed somewhere?), plus what with the cold weather I will prefer cloth anyway.

Paging Tim ...

These are sat in my kitchen (where else is more appropriate to store wheels after all?). They are now in a nice neat pile and covered with an old teatowel so I can pile crap on top of them that I can't be arsed to put away immediately. They are as absolutely filthy as they look, but I made a small clean bit on each one so I could see what you got: 3 are diamond cut underneath the horribly peeling lacquer, the one with the missing centre cap looks like it's been shotblasted. As far as I can tell without cleaning away all the grime because I am way too damn lazy, the metal itself seems in vgc - no nicks or dings on the rims or major scratches.

A ha! You bagged 'em then =D> Have fun cleaning them up. Frankly, I'd rather have my head nailed to a coffee table  (actually, they don't look too bad)

I think the dirt will come off quite easily, the peeling lacquer may need a bit more elbow grease though ;P

He'd rather have his head nailed to a coffee table apparently. I'm sure that can be arranged, for a suitable fee.

I'm getting traumatised just looking at the photo's and the thought of all the work required to get them tidy . Definitely worth saving though. It'll be interesting to see what sort of state the alloy is in once all the shit and peeling lacquer has been removed - if they're not quite badly pitted here and there I'll be very surprised.
