They're cool. Get some green neons under it and some LED washer jets and you're away!Tim Leech wrote:They were super cheap with good tyres and the originals were all wrecked with old tyres... I like them, some people don't, I don't care lol

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
Today I'm driving a bx! Well I'm sat in a cafe in hitchin whilst the guys at chevronics do the octopus on the tzi, one thing I noticed after driving a xantia daily for a while is how nimble and light the bx feels in comparison if abut noisier. Also the 1.9i auto is so much more responsive, the seats too are far better and the interior more airy as it's grey instead a sea of black.
Robs place is a bx treasure trove and there's 6 more cars asides mine being worked on in various states of repair including a very rotten 16v with 405mi16 wheels on.
Vive la bx!!

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
That's the main thing I didn't like about my TZD and never settled with plus was probably the deciding factor as to why I chose to sell the TZD and keep my TGD auto. A TZD cabin is a very drab place to be compared to the grey tweed of the TGD.Tim Leech wrote: the seats too are far better and the interior more airy as it's grey instead a sea of black.!

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
Well the TZI sang all the way home, what a lovely car, it showed some moderns a thing or two as well as when its rolling it is quite a fast car (a GTi 8v with cat)

I grabbed a snap of the two white cars side by side before the BX was tucked away in the garage, polar and alpine white are quite different, I prefer the brighter Polar shade!

Well the Xantia is in the paintshop having the dents done and as usual its not done on time, I am supposed to be using it to go the Chevrons Rally tomorrow to tow the caravan, if its not done someone will get a very shouty person talking at them!

And breath....
It's done, well it's all one colour but the front bumper didn't get done...
The slight noise from the front is getting worse and sounds like a ball joint... Let's hope the tech corner will investigate!

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
What a great weekend, although tiring, the Xantia towed the van fine, and was much more peppy on the way home after Leo had fiddled with my pump and throttle cable so I got a bit more oomph.
I picked up the wood insert from an exclusive at the Chevrons which was fitted by torch light on Saturday night....
The weathers a bit pap at the moment or I would be using the BX's a bit more

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
A week away and 320 miles in the Athena on just over half a tank of diesel which I paid just 96p a litre for from tesco!, and everything is perfect, comfortable, quiet and refined (now the drop link has been replaced!) if a bit heavy and not engaging to drive.
Now the wheels which have been much of talking point are coming off, I've bought some activa alloys for £50, I like the big rims but it does make the ride a bit jiggly and I'm scared to death of kerbing them so they will go on eBay and hopefully make me a few quid.
We had a little jaunt in the Tzi up to Newark, and there was 4 bxs in one road, all different spec but three were alpine white! Ms jones was the great host as usual and her tzd is now all sorted and looking well.

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
Tzi still doesn't absorb bumps as it should do some comforts spheres are in order, I'll use the money from the big rims.
