Re: TIMS BX BLOG
Well the Marina is done, well paintwork wise, the interior still needs doing.
I won runner up for best in class at the Marina owners rally at the great central railway.
It's just over a year since we adopted our little man, he seems to be very settled!

I almost didn't notice the Marina for the F10!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I could understand that Doc if it had been a Scania 'Centurion'.

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
The GT performed admirably yesterday, I've noticed the rear suspension has lost some of its suppleness so a full set of comfort spheres will go on over winter ready for France next year.
Today I purchased a new old stock genuine bronze tinted screen from fleabay. It's miles away but I have a friend down that way! This will adorn the GT as the original has delaminated and has some water stains which won't come off no matter how I try, I just need to locate a seal that's correct.
Anyone got a genuine one?
In other news the marinas done a few shows and does draw the crowds! It's very old to drive but has its charms...
Anyone going to the nec? I take it the bxclub doesn't have a stand this year.

What it did show was how tired mechanically mine is, mine crashes and bang over even the smallest fault in the road and the prop-shaft is out of balance.
Joy.

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
GT is now away for the winter, rear spheres have really let go quite suddenly but they must be 10 years old now, rear end is quite hard yet the front is still soft! Amazing how different the Mk1 is to the Mk2, steering is lighter as the difference in the ride is very noticeable (even with tired spheres).
I urge everyone to get a GT, as they are a great all rounder.

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
Another addition to the fleet, one that I couldn't pass up, which means one car needs to go and the Metro is the one, yes its fun, but its noisy, slow bouncy and not that comfortable, where as the newest arrival is very comfy indeed!

p.s. 'Slow and bouncy' isn't normal for a metro, have you fitted spheres? :-O

Re: TIMS BX BLOG
I've had the suspension height set but new hydragas units are NLA, and at £100 a corner to get them redone its quite pricey and not many people do it.
The new arrival may divide opinion, as its not a classic or old, but something I have always had a thing for and this one came in part exchange for scrap money and I couldn't turn it down.
It is a 2002 Rover 75 2.0 CDT 116PS Connoisseur SE NAV auto, rare as its black with black leather, satnav, sunroof, 17" Serpent Alloys, Xenons, cruise, CD changer, folding mirrors and sensors, plus satnav and a TV! yes a TV (no longer works as Analogue has been turned off)
2 owner from new, 115k, with FSH for £200.00
Condition is good, asides the wheels and a few small marks, she needs some work but the ride is awesome and I for one think they are very handsome.
