Well the price we pay for nostalgia, some of you may know that ive been in the motor trade for approx. 20 years, 5 years at MG, 14 years for VW and now working for DS/Citroen (with a month at Toyota which was awful, the car are fine just not the people)

Ebay is bad thing when one is feeling wistful about your youth....and the cars you drove, wind in your hair etc and then suddenly there it is....the car you had new (albeit as a demo), had fun times in, did lots of miles and kept for much longer than any other company car.....

I've always fancied one of those, always put off by the woeful reliability stories i've heard though & the infamous head gaskets. Hopefully your's will be a good un.

Typical mg rover scare mongering, get one with history and that’s had the gasket done properly.

But I wouldn’t use one every day though. They can be bought for £500 which isn’t much to worry about....

Anyway it’s home!

Re: TIMS BX BLOG

happy new year and all, well 3 months in to new life in Coventry, working for DS and Citroen isn't any different, as all the cars we see are very new and dont really appeal to me as an enthusiast, but I fear it wont be a long relationship. The company is good as are the products but the hours are a killer as is the commute and constant traffic problems.

Having had a clean licence for many years I have managed to get done for speeding twice in a month....which is a real pain.

leaving home at 7 and returning 12 hours later worn out is taking its toll, i'm not old but i'm not a kid either.

When I do have my weekday off im so tired I dont venture far as I do so much driving in the week its nice to sit at home and chill but I have cars needing fixing etc

So the plan is to find a reasonably paid job close to home that is 9-5?? Any suggestions.

I am very aware I will need to reduce my outgoings so the Beetle and maybe something else will go asap to pay off some bills.
