Dunno about the photo's not working - seemed Ok to me when first posted. I agree with the good clean! Tough when you can't get the good lady to clean her own car!

I have one or two of the original wheel trims, the old alternator that died, and a couple of front spheres that may be OK (I thought they were iffy and replaced them - but not much change in ride)

Thanks for the PM Ian.
I'll give you a ring tomorrow at a more reasonable hour.

Just to clear up any misunderstanding - I realise (as with any marque) that there are going to be cars worth saving and conserving, and those that aren't. I was loathe to let this go to my local breaker where few parts might be salvaged, when (through experience with Triumph Heralds, and new/old stock BL spares some years back) the parts on this car might be of use to BX Club car owners. I'm not looking for a promise to keep it on the road (although feasible), just the opportunity to help to keep other, better ones running.

Still out there doc?

Ok, I know it's got a few more miles, and it hasn't got a Tailblazer - but it only needs a good home (or someone to use it for parts).

Any takers?

The car now resides at chez doc's, and is undergoing a bit of surgery.
Should be MoT'd and usable in a couple of weeks.

Nice one Doc and good on you Ian for letting someone take it on rather than let it be scrapped.
Vauxhall apologist.
