Where's the fun in that? Remember, it's not the drinking that gives you the hangover, it's the sobering up afterwards....

Stuart, I know it's not a BX, but have you considered a nice ZX TD? Cheap to buy and run (you can even use veg oil mix). We are absolutely thrilled with our little TD Volcane.

I have, Phil, yes. I had Smiffy's old 1.4 as a temporary runaround after the accident and I did quite like it. BXs are a little roomier, comfier and cheaper to insure, but if the right ZX TD came along at the right price I'd certainly consider it.

To my mind a late TD estate would be ideal - my dad had a couple new and he really rated them.

Anyone want to swap me an XM for an uber-frugal 106 1.5 diesel?

A quick update!

Simon has decided not to go ahead after all - he's got the same problem as me with ridiculous insurance quotes. No hard feelings either side.

I'd booked it in for an MoT tomorrow, but at the weekend the exhaust started blowing and it's developed a strong smell of petrol so I've cancelled it. I'll look it over at the weekend and with a bit of luck just find a loose clamp or something.

So it is still available! Does anyone want to make me a silly offer as it is? The MoT runs out on the 14th April so it will need to be gone before then.

I want to replace it with something diesel powered and cheap to insure - preferably a BX or ZX estate but would consider some kind of part-exchange with anything dieselly.

EDIT: djoptix - bit small, sorry! I need something that can carry Morris Men, musical instruments and sticks! We were five-up at the weekend and Glen had to carry his drum on his lap!
