So you'd rather spend the best part of £400 on an unknown vehicle than spend £150 on a vehicle you already know?

In my mind that just doesn't make sense.

What?

I teach English to foreign people for a living so I deal with mangled sentences every day. It's very rare that I have to ask for clarification but right now I'm afraid I'm still none the wiser.

Describing a car accident is on our level 2 syllabus - for people who have been studying English intensively for 24 weeks - as it's considered a complex application of simple expressions like left and right, and a couple of movement verbs, which they should already be comfortable with.

Try again, please? Use a diagram, if you like.

Surreyman; I have a hammer you can borrow if you want to repair your Ford?

I have an extensive collection of hammers too. Last time I 'repaired' an Escort I used the largest one available and 'repaired' every panel and a few windows too. Then I took it to be weighed in which was many years overdue  .

BX Diesel Estate (17 or 19) WANTED.

Post by paul@drivepast.com »

I'm not sure which of the Diesel Estates mentioned in the past few days is sold, and which not.
I'm looking for a good one at the moment to run as a regular car, and am also looking to out my rather fine E Reg BMW 520i, which has MOT until well into next year.
Anyone fancy a trade ?
Alternatively I'll eBay the BMW and pay cash for your Estate.
Thanks, gents.

Paul, pm BXaholic as he has a very tidy red one for sale and I think Ken 's mate is keeping his for now.
Also, with respect, I'd take your e-mail address off your message as spammers will pick it up and inundate you with crap.

Hammers rule!

I remember a few years ago going to see a friend who lived in Newquay, and had just crashed her Mk2 Golf GTI. Myself and her boyfriend set to, stripped the offending corner, got another wing and bumper, and set about the mangled inner wing with the hammer.

It was almost a full days hammering (the neighbours weren't keen) and we had to take turns with the hammer as our hands got tired! Damn fine end result, the panel gaps were perfect.

And of course, they can be used on a Ford in the manner which you have described!

Shaune's sent me some pictures of the car today, but I they won't upload to photobucket due to the way he's sent them and my inability to upload them :(

I've asked him to try again, but I did get the following information from him.

The car has MOT until the end of May 09 . The Tax until the end of December 08 . The mileage is 178000 , I have done 7000 since MOT with no troubles at all the only faults with the car offside drive shaft clicks on full lock , the exaust back box sometimes rattles on the tow bar when cornering and it has rust on near side rear wing. i want £350 for the car it also has tow bar, music and 2 keys. Cheers Shaune

Ken has kindly passed the images on to me for a stern speaking-to, and here they are behaving nicely.

I presume the accessory peering out of the driver's window is an optional extra?

On a personal note I am seriously interested in this motor 8) , or a similar one if this is snapped up by my elders and betters.
