Not good mate! You didn't miss much, Stratford's usually pretty sleepy unless you camp it over with the lads!

At least a H/G on a TU BX is a pretty easy fix. Hardest job you'll have is undoing the manifold bolts, it's really that easy! Slap an AX GT carb and inlet on while you're at it.
If your head's warped badly, I've got a spare AX GT one if you need.

Hi guys!

Just got back from Stratford, left mid-afternoon as the weather turned seriously shite!
I enjoyed the day, even though things were a LOT quieter than last year. We did manage to set up a "BX Photshoot" comprising 7 BXs (including TWO Mk1 GTs!)
I'll post piccies later tonight!

Great to meet up with the other attendees: Smiffy, Mark & missus, Sir Jim of the Databases, Mulley, Geoff G., Tim, Chris S., and others who I forget!
Oh yes, I think I saw Graeme (Aerodynamica) at one point, although didn't get the chance for a chat on this occasion.

It was very weird having a "meet" without the presence of the Doc, whose wit and sarcasm were sadly missed! Get well soon, dude!!

On the whole a good, but quiet, event! NO doggy bags of goodies either this year....only a Visa 30th Anniversary mug!! Credit Crunch, eh???

@Kitch,
Sorry to hear about Nat's car attack. Hope they find the ba$tardfs and castrate the tw@ts!!! Don't worry too much about the boot bits. I'm in no greeat hurry, and I MAY yet have a trip South planned before winter sets in! Watch this space! :wink:

@Matt,
Bad luck with the HG on your 14! As Kitch says...not a bad job to sort though. I had to strip/rebuild the head on my old 14, after the cambelt snapped, bending 2 valves. It was quite therapeutic, grinding in valves on a newspaper on my knee, whilst watching Coronation Street on telly!!! Ahhhhhh....Happy days!!

That's about it for now......photos later, and "Cheers" to all my fellow-BXers!! :lol:

Sounds like a great idea :lol:

Well, maybe I'll have a nice AX GT to borrow while it's being fixed... So no rush 'eh :)

Matt, sorry to hear about your trials -BX still looks good in its momentary defeat. Hope you get it sorted.

Great pics Dave! That's a fine line-up :D

Not a bad day, poor weather obviously blunted the turn out as there must have been 50% less cars than last year and the spares were poor, mind you I picked up a replacment interior mirror for the GT.

Good to see the usual faces.

You weren't the only one with problems.....the stop solenoid has failed on my TZD, so I now have to stall the car to shut down the engine, and I "might" have been pictured by those a*seholes who were sat in a van at the side of the road. You know the ones I mean, greed cameras!! Grrr

That might be a very good call there Mr Vanny!! It's Lucas pump.

Chris tells me there aren't any spare ones at the farm. I can't not do it, as I have an MOT on 17th sept.

Muchos grassy arses!!

Well it was not a bad day but I was sorry not to see Kitch and Chris again but Tim was there and met Mulley for the first time.
Very suprised not to have met anybody else especially as we got tjhere early and left after Tim.

Saw the activa and did not know whos it was but a nice motor all the same.

Hope you get some joy Kitch, I have a few pics I will sort out later.

Cheers
Luke
