Another appeal: This time for another team or two!
Also, I have a nice GTi auto that really would like to participate somehow, so if someone I am familiar with (lol - you know what I mean!) fancies borrowing her for the St. Malo to Calais mini-event (and can raise £150 for the charity), then maybe we can sort something out...

Hi Phil
We are in for the Vannes to Calais run. Ferry booked for Oct 26th.
Alas, not enough time to get familiar with you or your auto BX ( I'm strictly a manual girl!) so we'll be driving Miss Daisy.
Will put paperwork in the post.
Anne Marie
Sponsers anyone??
Will be at the Northern CCC meet in Fleetwood (my home town) 18th - 20th September.

Hi I have raffle tickets for sale still,
GSF vouchers (1st Prize £100's worth, 2nd Prize £50 and 3rd £25).
Tickets £1 each or 5 for £4. Worth a punt as the draw will take place in September regardless of how many tickets have been sold.
E-mail me and best use PayPal to pay for them I guess.
And the 'Flavours of France' Gourmet Hamper Raffle too. (three prizes again). Ticket same price as above (those who bought tickets at the 'old' price get double the numbers).
This was going to be drawn in September but now that's November - in time for Christmas!
So, get in touch! All proceeds to the BXagon Challenge appeal.

With less than two months to go, now's a good time to remind ANYONE who'd like to try and raise sponsorship for the event (or one of the teams) to get their skates on. We needs all the help we can get.
There are currently seven teams doing the whole run, and a further six teams doing a portion of it. It's not too late to join. Be it in Xantia, Visa, BX or ZX etc. not too fussed - just come along! All or part of the route, doesn't matter; every little will help.

Due to poor take up, the Flavours of France raffle is cancelled.
Anyone who bought tickets will still be entered in a mini-draw and get a small acknowledgment in the shape of a nice bottle of wine from France, and the money already donated will go into the BXagon account.

Have BX, will travel! Consider us booked in Mr Phillip!
Me and a friend will be doing it, so probably not so much under the CCW banner, though I'll try and get a healthy donation obviously...
It's a late call, so we're going to have to move fast to get the £300 but to aid me with my costs, I managed to get the BX onto my classic insurance policy, which includes European Breakdown cover...
Technically, it's possible to sleep in an estate too if we need to cut costs...
Quick question though - how do we get donations from folk? I've got pals all over the country, so it needs to be web-based. Do we do it through the existing Just Giving site? If so, how do you know it's for our team?
Cheers
Ian

One month to go.
This Club is fielding, as it stands today five teams for the whole event with others joining for portions of it. Not as big a turn out as we might have expected in the pre-recession days of the event's inception, but hey, not bad!!! Thanks.
