Final Update! (I hope)

Located the elusive inpection cover OK, then followed Geoff's excellent instructions to allow enough room to firmly clamp the hoses. Had a few problems reattaching the tank-ends, as I was working on my own, meaning a push underneath, then a pull from above, until the hoses were firmly secure on their stubs.

Fired her up, without any problems, as I'd already been out in her this morning.
Tomorrow will be the big test. If she fires up OK first thing in the morning, it will prove our suspicions correct, and that an air leak was getting into the feed pipe.

We shall see!

Thanks for all the helpful hints and thoughts, as always on this fine Forum!

That's a cracking idea Geoff, wish I'd though of it!

And congratulations Dave that you'll now be 'back on the road'. Well done, it can't be easy getting a new job - especially given the current financial climate...

Great news!!!! :D

All well in the starting department. Fires up on the button, even first thing in the morning, without great clouds of smoke!
Also seem to have lost most of the smoke when driving underr heavy boost!

Airtight fuel systems FTW!!

Cheers,

Dave
