BX owner with a well known BX!

Post by Turbo Killer »

I am the new owner of the BX in this thread http://www.bxclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13543
Drove it back from Leicester to Widnes with no problems, not on the road yet, i need to sell my present car, but i have no worries about using the BX as a daily driver.
I had a 1.9 estate about 8-10 years ago and i did like it, although it was quite slow off the mark, a good car none the less. Hopefully i can contribute to the forum, as well as getting help and advice from the members.
I have a few other cars, Saab 99's x 3, a very modest 99GL have a troll through the pages here http://www.uksaabs.eu/UKS/viewtopic.php ... a61295ef1e a '71 in the process of being a sprint/rally car and a very nice '76 EMS. I do have another Citroen, an AX this is being turned, slowly, into an AX Maxi.

I want one of them.

Do they do big stickers? I could do with a couple.

And BX/AX stuff. The AX is lovely in red IMHO.

I want an AX Maxi too - I'm glad it's nothing like what I was imagining - which involved an Austin Maxi ;)

Edit: though a bx Maxi would be better got carrying logs 'n' dogs too :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
It is a very good car, just sorting out a few little jobs before i get it back on the road.
In the whole of Widnes, which isn't that big, i have only seen one other BX in the last year and up until recently that has not been parked in its usual place.

I have started using the BX as from today, just took the missus to the shops in it and she likes it, so thats a good start, although my youngest daughter has refused to get in it, she can't understand why i have sold my Saab 9-3 Viggen and bought this relic! Oh the follies of youth :)

Yes my youngest son is the same, he actually prefers the look of by blue TGD auto to my white TZD, I think the pram handle spoiler adds an extra insult to his street cred. He happily accepts lifts but has to be dropped off round the corner from where he's going and if he wants picking up from the met after a United match he waits until his mates have arranged their lifts home before he rings me, he is always the only one in the carpark when I arrive 8)
