Re: HOW TO GUIDE: Aftermarket Remote Central Locking
Fitted my kit today, only took around half an hour and i'm a novice especially when it comes to electrics. It didn't work at first so I just touched random wires together once I had power to the new module and figured it out that way. On the kit that was listed, which I bought, connect your live and negative to 1 and 2 and the it's the yellow & yellow/black to wire 7 and white & white/black to wire 5 iirc, if not just swap them round as you'll have it locking on the unlock button like I did at first.

ok, so to recap rd, you bought the same item as in Jays link and joined the white to the white and black wire before connecting to wire 5 and you joined theyellow to the yellow and black wire before connecting to wire 7.
its just the instructions I got with mine say differently but its the same kit

Not sure mate, if you solder your live and negative on first, once the new box is clicking you know you've got power then just trial run the other wires, try the way from your instructions and my way and see which works for you. Will be interesting if you wire yours differently though.

Re: HOW TO GUIDE: Aftermarket Remote Central Locking
This is probably only relevant to rd27, I have only just found out by accident that using your method of wiring means it dosent matter which button you press,if the doors are locked either button will unlock them and if they are unlocked either button will lock them.
This suits me fine especially at night because the remote isn't back lit and its really hard to see the inscriptions on the buttons

Re: HOW TO GUIDE: Aftermarket Remote Central Locking
I am going to try and instal one of these up in the plip sensor area and hope that I will get better rf range from the higher position. Although the one I have flashes the indicators as well so perhaps somewhere else would be a bit easier.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.
