I know Tim, I`m branching out now and getting adventurous. I`ve mastered the hammer and now I need to work out this whole `screwdriver` thing.
Way ahead of schedule now on tools training, next year I hope to find out what a `spanner` is

Way2go, good to see you back on here mate hope all is well.

(copied from oxford english diart 2007 edition, "spanner" normally found behind the parts counter of your local citroen main dealer also under "useless" and "excrement"

Hhmm, if I happen to be near by when you're changing doors, I'll stop by and hit the $h!t out of them with my sykes pickavant tool, never failed me yet, or the 14lb sledge I hit it with! :D

Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

UPDATE!

Well its been a long day but worth it, big thanks to Andy (arctic steel for taking me to fetch it) and a big hello to everyone I met today.

As for the car all I can say is its the best buy Ive made as far as Bxs go. It has a small amount of rust in the corner of all the doors and a little laquer pealing in the drivers door and thats it, otherwise its superb, inner wings, door shuts and hinges are as new as is the interior, the engine starts first time and runs like a little sewing machine.

Mileage wise its covered only 43300 with EVERY mot from new and a full service history, bill of sale, warranty book, service receipts and both sets of keys. The car is untouched so much as it has its original accessory blaupunkt radio casette, wheeltrims and what looks like its original rear tyres.

Its surprisgly quiet, lovely and smooth, rides and drives perfectly and I worked out I averaged about 45mpg on the way home (157miles) at a steady 60mph. Not bad for a 21 year old car which hasnt moved for 2 years!

Theres the familair transmission whine on the first 3 gears but at speed in 5th (yes it has one) its inaudable.

It has had 2 owners, sold new by Olds Citroen in Gloucester both times (are they still going?) and has covered 28000 miles since 1988!

MOT day tomorrow and a darn good clean, the horn doesnt work so I wil lhave to attend to that before 4pm as thats when its being done.

Wish me luck! :D :D
