1989 BX 16valve White 70k - G764KEW
It is indeed a LHD model, I am not quite sure where it was originally registered but I shall ask.
I do know it is on UK plates as its owner is a UK national but he has a house in France and offices in Germany and travels a lot.
The car originally had a P2 boot spoiler but for one of the overseas MOTs, Germany I think they fitted the P1 hoop spoiler and again the German garage fitted the sticker.

Grolliffe's got past the 200k mark - but I think that the doc can beat any of those pretty easily. Suffice to say that the total mileage is much more than triple the tops quoted so far.
The car in question has had at least one new engine in it and nearly everything has been replaced at one time or another (bar the steering rack, which he was talking about changing at the weekend).
I'll leave him to describe further, should he choose to do so.
In terms of BX-era PSA running gear, I did once come across a Peugeot 405 in a scrapyard with about half-a-million on it - I'm pretty sure that this was an ex- taxi. It may even have been a petrol - though it was difficult to tell because there'd been a fire under the bonnet and it was none too tidy in there.
I bought a 230k-ish TXD some years back which I put a few more thousand on. This was an interim car for me, and had also been a taxi for a while. It had more service stamps in the book than I've seen before or since and the mechanicals certainly had more life in them barring the completely shagged doseur valve.
However, the bodywork emphatically did not have more miles in it. Despite being one of the last BXs it was one that looked as if it had been in a corrosive dip up to the bottom of the pillars. I sold it when it became surplus to requirements to a gentleman who was going to use some upper bodywork bits to repair his much-loved but accident-damaged BX, so some parts lived on to clock up more miles.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.
My TD beats all of that lot by a mahoosive margin!
Albeit via two steering racks, 3 turbo's, 3 engines, three gearboxes, 6 interiors, several rebuilds post collisions (none my fault) and two windscreens!
The bus wins by a margin most intergallactic though!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Sounds like Triggers broom in Only Fools and Horses!
They do seem to go on for ever with the right care and attitude don't they?

It's been a really good workhorse that car.
In the best part of a million miles it's had a few bits replaced.
The only original bits left really are most (but not all) of the shell, the dashboard (although thats going soon), and the front subframe.
TBH there was nothing wrong with engine and gearbox number 2, but I wanted turbo power, so the N/A lump and box went.

My 1993 TZD estate has clocked over 273K and is my daily driver. I bought it off Ebay over 4 years ago with 233k on it with some service history.Got me to Italy and back last year.Had a new bumper sprayed and the grey on the back one done too to match.(Car was backed into my a stupid neighbour!!)Got to change the gearbox as the o/s crownwheel brg has play in it,and doser valve as it sinks quickly now. Will do the jobs when I put my CX DTR2 Safari on the road for the summer.
