You realise that the BX has the power steering as part of the hydraulic system and hence runs from LHM and not normal DOT4 style PAS fluid as per Peugeot? The LHM and DOT4 seals are reportedly not compatible, hence you couldn't fit a Xsara rack to a BX or visa versa without changing all the seals.

hadnt thought of that thanks ,will find out if and how much to change seals ,rack will probably be rebuilt anyway ,i still would like to know which models had 2.8 ratio though if anyone knows thanks again
hard at it building another car
