Cables on drills etc would be solid, and needed to be brought into the warm or the cable risked broken insulation.
Last winter I wanted to use the air chisel to break some ice that was in someone's way - the compressor was under a cover outside - it did start - after I switched it on for about the twentieth time :-)

Nah - I used the snow shovel to clear the car. There was a delivery truck stuck on the slight slope at the side of the house - another neighbour wielding a pick-axe wasn't making much of an impression on the ice :shock: so I figured it was time to join in :-)
