BX 17 TZD on e-bay

Post by Barnsley BXer »

Hmmmmm.Just had another look after reading Ken's comments.75000 ,FSH.4 owners have kept up with the service history? When I bought my BX,with 69k on the clock,it had the usual paint wear on the driver's sill this one appears to have none(covered up?) Yes it looks great but Ken has a wealth of experience with BX's and e-bay specials(remember the M-reg estate Ken?) Havewe any right to be suspicious, only time will tell

We can be as suspicious as we like, ebay have removed the item due to a breach of their trading policies.
They think it's all over, it is now!

You probably know better than most (especially me),what constitutes a breach of e-bay trading policy?

A few things. One of which is stating `Paypal adds X amount` (as I found out  ) and various things like offering to sell away from eBay.
I believe they only act if someone complains though, I don`t think they have time to read through every description.
Having said that I`ve listed my BX clocks and before I`d actually sent it they said they could remove the listing at anytime if I didn`t state the origin and whether genuine or not.
Assuming they are concerned over `clocking` I added a note to the listing saying they were not to be bought to change a car`s mileage.

I seem to recall the car being listed as something like:

Citroen BX TZD Turbo NOT escort, astra etc etc

When the previous owner of my 4x4 listed it he put 'not escort, astra' or something similar and ebay removed it because of that.

Notice how it now just says..... 5 doors.....

I know someone else selling a Mazda MX3 who put NOT MX5 and they took his auction off too.

It's good in a way because if you are searching for a BX, you don't want loads of Mondeo ads saying "NOT BX" but then rarer cars sometimes need a bit of "help" to get noticed.

Surely this can't be right.... the BX in linked to earlier now has an hour to go... and is at £960!?!

I know it's a desirable model in a good solid colour, but nearly a grand for a TD BX? That's plain bonkers.

I was obviously extremely naive to think i could get that car for around the 500quid mark!

I prefer white.... its a good 80's colour!
