key stuck in ignition

The ignition barrel arrived along with some other spares I actually wanted and I've been undecided whether to play with locks or sell it - already had the pics ready to sell if I took that route and since someone actually needs it it's ready to go (as long as I can find where I've put it
)
The 'playing with locks' was a thought triggered by a strange event - went out to the car - unlocked it - jumped in and put the key in the ignition - ignition wouldn't turn. I was using the key for the 4x4
they are almost exactly the same - I wondered if I could frig the locks so I had one set of keys covering both cars
I know how to do that with yale locks but I've never taken a BX barrel apart.
Nah - I've got too many other things to do anyway
I'll keep my ear to the ground for a lockset.
