I can't tell exactly what happened because I can't see the aliases that ebay normally puts, because it's a private listing, so I'm not sure on the bidding order. But it looks like the next highest bid was £903 so try contacting that bidder. I sold a caravn a year ago and it did not quite meet the reserve, so I went down the list until one of the bidders took it. So I ended up selling it a few hundred less than I expected.
FYI - we spoke on the phone but I decided not to bid. I decided to stick with my Honda 2.4 i-VTEC, and as I said on the phone, I could not understand why my 2.4 i-VTEC is only a few tens of HP more than the 1.9 in the BX16valve.
Sorry to go off marque a bit BX'ers .... I went to other forums (believe me it was not easy) and found out that the engines in post-2000 Hondas are the K-series engines (on my bulkhead it says K24A3). The K20 engine is used in the Type-R and S2000 etc, and is put into a lot of other cars (it might fit in a BX). There are two ways to mod the ECU.
One way is to fit a piggyback ECU (e.g. Dastek) which can modifiy the signals to the main ECU but it needs to be tuned on a dyno, Dastek new is approx £400 or there are second-hand Dastek on ebay.
The other way is to get the main ECU modified. There is a company in the US called Hondata who make boards that retrofit into the ECU. There is a company in Sheerness Kent who can fit the boards with off-the-shelf maps for approx. £650 (I haven't contacted them yet)

My point is that, instead of buying a BX 16valve I can have my 6-year-old Honda Accord 2.4 with aircon and cruise contol modified to give several switchable engine maps for less than the price of a BX 16valve, and also keep my faithful BX 1.6 Meteor !!!!
